Renewable Energy
Products and services driving a ‘greener’ power generation sector
As nations across the globe increasingly rely on renewable sources to meet their energy requirements, Greenbank is playing a leading role in helping coal-fired power plants convert to more sustainable fuels.
From the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of bulk material handling equipment, to the development of systems designed to optimise boiler performance and reduce emissions, we can provide comprehensive solutions to meet the bespoke requirements of clients embracing woody biomass and other biofuels.
Greenbank is also at the forefront of the waste-to-energy sector, an increasingly important source of sustainable electricity, thanks to its unrivalled experience in wear protection, fuel feed management and balancing fuel delivery to the boiler, pipework, ash handling technologies and other vital plant equipment employed in more traditional power plants.
Utilising advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and discrete element method (DEM) modelling, as well as 3D laser scanning and 3D laser mapping, we can manage new installations and retrofit upgrades in support of plant operators committed to reducing their impact on the environment.
Greenbank’s Ammegen division also has significant modelling experience and capability in the design and optimisation of DSI and Activated Carbon Injection ACI) technology for removing pollutants from flue-gas. It also provides cost-effective emission reduction and control solutions across a wide range of combustion processes while our AOFA® and SNCR systems are the core of our NOx emissions reduction portfolio.
