Greenbank Advanced Instrumentation and Measurement (Ammegen) is the research, development and technical arm of Ammegen and Greenbank Group, operating a technology-based consultancy service to the Group and its customers.
Independently working with leading UK research universities and design centres, Ammegen is dedicated to further enhancing Greenbank’s product portfolio and developing innovative new technologies which help improve the efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of power generation and related industries.
Ammegen specialises in the development of highly scientific equipment that is designed to characterise, measure and control two-phase fluid flows in the power generation, pulverised fuel (PF), cement and steel industries as well as many other industrial sectors, using state-of-the-art innovative technology.
Ammegen's techniques of studying two-phase flow are complemented by a unique PF testing facility and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Discrete Element Method (DEM) modelling. Ammegen also utilises numerous experimental facilities and expert knowledge, having established links with top universities such as Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough and Cambridge.
Ammegen boasts a 1/3 scale PF experimental test facility including separating cyclones which lead to weighing systems, bifurcating and trifurcating flow lines and de-dusting filters.
