Advance, which is a joint venture between Stantec and Balfour Beatty Limited, are a Tier 1 contractor working for United Utilities, who have awarded the mechanical works to Franklyn Yates Engineering for the Bolton (WELM) Booster Pumping Station at Ringley Fold.
The scope of work includes the break-in to the DN1200 below ground WELM main, with the introduction of valves and pipework to divert the water supply to the new pumping station. The work also includes the positioning, lining, levelling, and securing of 4No Booster Pumps and the associated DN600 and DN800 suction and discharge pipework systems.
