Midlands International Trade Awards Shortlist Unveiled
The shortlist for Insider's 2014 Midlands International Trade Awards has been revealed. Almost 30 of the region's top exporters will slug it out for nine separate awards.
The prestigious awards dinner will take place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel at the NEC on 9 October.
An experienced panel of business leaders and advisers – made up of David Bailey, professor of industrial strategy at Aston Business School, Baxter Freight owner Ian Baxter, UKTI deputy regional director Christine Hamilton, Sally Swann, JLT Specialty head of office, and Min Rose, senior executive of Asia Business Centre in Nottingham – judged the entries.
Dominic Jermey, chief executive of UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the government body responsible for encouraging businesses to export more, is this year's guest speaker.
Aimed at showcasing the achievements of companies excelling across the globe, Insider's International Trade Awards recognise businesses which are continually investing overseas.
