Greenbank Presented with Toyota Water Efficiency Award
Greenbank have won a water efficiency improvement award sponsered by Toyota Manufacturing UK.
Greenbank joined the “Resource Navigator” project run by the government’s Envirowise programme with 7 other local firms in July 2006.
The project aimed to get local firms networking together to track environmental performance and target improvement with key performance indicators.
Terry Walton has represented the Company on this Resource Navigator project and worked with consultants from Envirowise who conducted an energy audit here at our Woodville site.
The project has encouraged its participants to operate a “measuring to manage programme”, key performance indicators (KPIs) allow companies to track how well they are doing and to identify opportunities to:
· save money and thus increase profits
· use resources more efficiently
· minimise waste (raw materials, product, energy, water, packaging, etc)
· prevent pollution
Of the 8 participants on the project only 3 got awards for the success with their KPI’s and Greenbank won the award for our largest reduction in water consumption of all the participants in the Resource Navigator project.
