The replacement of the old Wanlip digestion plant is key to Severn Trent Water's strategy for efficiently dealing with sewage sludge and optimising renewable gas production in the eastern part of its region.
Franklyn Yates Engineering have been busy working with Costain on the inlet works at Wanlip and over the past 6 months have demonstated a high level of competence, quality and customer service. This great effort from the site team has been paid dividends with the award of the mechanical works on the replacement digestor plant at Wanlip going to Franklyn Yates Engineering.
The projects includes the design, manufacture and installation of a significant amount of pipe work systems, pipework bridges, pipe supports and the installation of free issued equipment including pumps, valves, flowmeters and instrumentation.
The pipework system includes the design of the logistics and routing to connect the digestors, GBT's, heat exchangers and all associated pump stations.
