Mike Tillery; Whole Life Programme Manager for United Utilities stated the following: ""I would like to say a huge thank you to you all for the massive achievements that have been made to date on the Southport DMZ project and especially this week for the tremendous effort in completing the recent two shutdowns at Bickerstaffe Pumping Station which a couple of weeks ago, seemed like an almost impossible task. We have also managed to achieve flows from Blundell House through Royal Oak this week which is another milestone achievement and all this demonstrates what great collaboration we have on the project between all the contractors involved, UU delivery teams and UU Operations. Please pass my thanks on to all your individual team members who have contributed to the recent successes as I am aware there are others besides those in this email that have been key to making these successes happen. I know that this project has been a long hard slog with co-ordination and collaboration between so many different parties making things really difficult, but there is light at the end of the tunnel and we are making great progress so please don't give up and continue the excellent work. Once again, a huge thanks to you all. Please keep up the outstanding work.""
Special thanks are passed to Steve Walker; Project Manager and his team; Robert Kay, Kevin Tomlinson and Nigel Hammonds.
